Built of golden Bath stone in the Georgian era, the Macdonald Bath Spa hotel was formerly a private mansion, and sits in seven acres of landscaped gardens with swaying cedars, fountains and ponds. There is complimentary onsite parking for guests.The Macdonald Bath Spa hotel's Vellore Restaurant occupies the former ballroom. The formal restaurant serves English and French-style cuisine beneath high-ceilings, with a pianist playing on Friday and Saturday evenings. The less formal Alfresco Restaurant, in the conservatory is flooded with natural light. Pre-dinner cocktails and after-dinner brandies and cigars are served in the Colonnade Bar.
